The Institute of Languages ​​and Cultures of the Mediterranean and the Near East (ILC) succeeded in 2007 the previous Institute of Philology of the CSIC. The ILC's fundamental objective is the study of the languages ​​and cultures of the Mediterranean basin and its adjacent areas.
