Stays at the ILC

Every year, the ILC welcomes national and international researchers with ties to other institutions to carry out research stays in order to broaden and deepen their training and knowledge of their field of specialization, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the scientific community they join and the facilities of the CCHS, among which the Tomás Navarro Tomás Library stands out with its historic and extensive documentary collection.

These stays, which may have a minimum duration of one month and a maximum of one year—except in those cases covered by an agreement, contract or training programme whose duration will be that specified in said agreement—must always be endorsed by a staff researcher at the ILC, for which the visiting researcher must first contact one of them and establish the request by mutual agreement.

Application procedure

Once both parties have agreed to carry out the stay at the ILC, the application procedure will consist of sending the following documentation to the email address secretaria.ilc@cchs.csic.es:

  • Application form signed by the ILC researcher responsible for the stay.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Report on the work to be carried out during the stay.
  • Letter from the institution to which the external researcher is linked authorizing travel to the ILC to carry out the stay.
  • Copy of passport in case of foreign researchers.
  • Copy of the policy to prove that you are covered by accident insurance (work and professional).
  • Copy of the policy to prove that you are covered by liability insurance.
