Biografía

Jan Thiele is Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at the Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CCHS-CSIC) in Madrid. He earned his PhD (2012) at Freie Universität Berlin and was Visiting Scholar at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (2013–2014). He is a two-time recipient of EU funded Marie Curie fellowships. His publications include Kausalität in der muʿtazilitischen Kosmologie (Brill, 2011) and Theologie in der jemenitischen Zaydiyya (Brill, 2013, granted the Research Prize of the Annemarie-Schimmel-Stiftung für Islamkunde).
